Gilbert Family

“Special Operations Warrior Foundation has been just the support I have needed throughout my college education experience. Obviously, financially, they have been so clear, helpful, honest, and have covered everything that I have needed that I’m not sure I could have covered without them - but their support goes so much deeper than that.

The way that they assist me honors my dad’s sacrifice in a simple and yet profound way. They care. They care about not only me getting a college education, but it's plain to see that the counselors and all who have helped me through SOWF actually take the time to get to know me as an individual. I feel comfortable expressing my dreams and aspirations to those at SOWF because I know that they will always listen and support me in my goals. The one thing my Dad would want me to do is to chase my dreams, and the foundation has done just that for me through financial support, college advising, and even helping me get set up to transition out of college and into the workforce with the college to career transition mentoring. Their support has invaluable every step of the way.”

Greyson Gilbert is a senior at Clemson University, working towards a degree in Health Science. His interest in exercise physiology, neurophysiology research and professorship led him to participating the first ever SOWF trusted partnership relationship with the Uniformed Services University Health Science Center – Consortium for Health and Military Performance. We are very proud to announce that Greyson was accepted and has already started an eight-week internship at USUHSC-CHAMP! Greyson is the son of Air Force Major Troy Gilbert. Troy lost his life in 2006 as a member of the United States Army Special Operations Command.
